Altar Boy Retreat
JOHNSTOWN, PA - Plans are underway for the Annual Altar Boy Retreat
which will take place from Sunday evening, June 30th (Registration is from
6pm till 8 p.m.) until Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019. The Retreat will once
again take place at Christ the Savior Seminary, Cathedral and Education
Center in Johnstown and at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Windber, PA. This year's outing will be to Coal Tubing for a tube ride down the Stoney Creek River. This is the time
and place for our faithful Altar Servers to join other Altar Boys from all over our Diocese.
All parishes of the Diocese are urged to underwrite the $100.00 participation fee for their Altar Servers, recognizing that the Altar Boy of today may very well be the priest of tomorrow! Those parishes which pay the registration fees for their altar boys are asked to PAY ONLINE OR SUBMIT THEIR CHECK BY THE DEADLINE - JUNE 7TH. The money is needed to make deposits on the various activities that are
taking place. All checks should be made payable to “DIOCESAN ALTAR BOY RETREAT” and sent to Fr. David Cochran along with the filled out Participation and Medical History Forms (Pages 3-7 of the Registration Packet). Please include a list of names of those the Church is paying for so that payment may be credited. Electronic Registration and payment must be made no later than Friday, June 7.

Baking Prosfora
Sincere thanks to our Jr ACRY for making prosfora & antidoron last
Saturday. It was a “labor of Love” for the members. They learned how,
with hands on experience, to make this special bread for use in the
celebration of the Divine Liturgy. Thanks to Ashley Kowal, Damien
Shevlin, Connor & Caitlyn Nowak, Trey & Jack Dziabo & to their parents.
